What drives the price of a website, which costs you pay once and which recur, and how to compare offers fairly in Kosovo and Albania. Plus our own prices.

It is one of the first questions every business asks us: how much does a website cost? The honest answer is that it depends on what you need. A simple one-page site for a café and an online store with hundreds of products are completely different projects, even though both get called a website. Here is how the price breaks down.

What drives the price

Price mostly follows the amount of work involved. These are the factors that matter most:

  • Number of pages: a single presentation page takes far less work than a site with separate pages for services, gallery, blog and contact.
  • Custom design or template: a ready-made template costs less, while a custom design is built around your brand and helps you stand apart from competitors.
  • Languages: every extra language means more content, translation and testing.
  • E-commerce, bookings and payments: a shopping cart, order handling, a booking calendar and card payments take far more work than an informational site.
  • Integrations: connecting to other systems, such as accounting software, a CRM, email marketing or delivery services, adds work.
  • Content and photos: if your texts and photos are ready, you save time; if they have to be written or shot from scratch, that adds to the cost.
  • SEO: a sound structure, fast loading and proper page descriptions belong in any good website, while ongoing optimization is a separate job.
  • Maintenance: updates, backups and small changes after launch.

One-time cost versus ongoing costs

When people talk about the price of a website, they usually mean the one-time cost of design and development. But once the site is live, some costs keep running:

  • Domain: your site's name, such as yourbusiness.com, renewed every year.
  • Hosting: the server your site lives on, billed monthly or yearly.
  • Maintenance: security updates, backups, regular checks and help whenever you want to change something.

When you plan your budget, look beyond launch day to the first year and the years that follow.

How to compare offers fairly

Two offers with very different prices often don't cover the same things. Before you decide, ask:

  • Exactly how many pages and which features are included?
  • Is the design custom, or based on a template?
  • Who writes the texts, and who provides the photos?
  • Will you be able to edit the content yourself after launch?
  • How many rounds of changes are included while the work is in progress?
  • Are domain, hosting and maintenance included, or billed separately?
  • Whose name is the domain registered in, and who owns the site when the project ends?

The cheapest offer isn't automatically the best, and neither is the most expensive one. Compare what you actually get, not just the number at the bottom.

Hap Web-in orientation prices

To make planning easier, here are our orientation prices. They show where each package starts. The final offer depends on the scope of your project, and we put it together once we have gone through the details with you.

  • Start: a one-page presentation website, from €450, in 1–2 weeks.
  • Business: a multi-page business website with up to 8 pages, two languages and content you can edit yourself, from €950, in 3–5 weeks.
  • Sell online: an e-commerce store or booking system with online payments and an admin panel, from €2,500, in 5–8 weeks.
  • Custom: custom web and mobile apps, dashboards and platforms, from €5,000, in 8–16 weeks.
  • Maintenance: from €39 per month.

Domain and hosting are paid separately. Timelines are indicative and also depend on how quickly content and decisions come in from your side.

You don't need a full specification to get started. Knowing what you want to achieve and which features you need is enough; we can work out the rest together.
